Assoc. Prof. Sedat Nizamoğlu was deemed worthy of the METU Parlar Foundation Research Incentive Award for his nanomaterial-based bioelectronic implant developed against retinal degeneration and blindness, biodegradable optical waveguide for medical applications, and high-efficiency LED studies using quantum dots with liquid integration.
Asst. Prof. Savaş Taşoğlu received the METU Parlar Foundation Research Incentive Award for his studies on the development of devices that are based on microfluidics, microsensors and disposable smart composite materials, that make point-of-care disease diagnosis cost-effectively, and that measure and analyze various health parameters in the long-term.
